Devin's World


 Devin Scillian and I teamed up for another fundraiser at the Grosse Pointe Art Center.
Devin is not only an anchor, a gifted children’s book author and musician, he can draw as well!

SELF art by guests of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen

Wrapped up our 10 week painting workshop at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen with the theme of SELF. Opening will be this week at the Grosse Pointe Art Center April 27th, 6.30 pm. All sales will go 100% to the artists. Participants could try out different media and all ended up with a great selfportrait. Two print sessions were taught by Pam Delaura at Wayne State University.

I am teaching a 10 week painting workshop to guests at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. We all have a lot of fun. The results will be shown as part of the “Faces and Portraits” exhibition at the Grosse Pointe Art Center. Opening April 27.

Participated in the 2012 Sketchbook project.  All the sketchbooks go on a world tour starting April 14th. I did everything last minute again so it’s really short this time but therefore people can participate and write what they are thinking about my theme “Ask me how I can help”. Here is my little illustration for 2012 Tomie dePaola award. The theme was a paragraph from “Chicken Licken,” by P.C. Asbj√∂rnsen. I thouhgt I bring in the fox as a harbinger of bad things to come. Done with corel painter on a wacom tablet.
